A note from the house
For when it is raining, or when you wish it were. Kannauj bottles the smell of the first monsoon rain on baked earth; we set it on the moss and fern of a Tasmanian rainforest floor. A monsoon night that happens indoors.

The story
Mitti attar is the smell of the first monsoon rain, and Kannauj is the only place on earth that bottles it: baked clay discs steamed in copper, the vapour caught in sandalwood oil. Petrichor, made deliberately.
The Tarkine is the largest temperate rainforest in Australia; its floor is a mattress of moss and fern that smells of green and cold water.
